Naomi had a jungle themed first birthday that I threw together. I literally bought 90% of decor and favors off of Amazon. I found it much easier to shop online than going to stores after stores to look and see if they had anything I might like. I made Target, Trader Joes, Party City, and Costco runs by myself or sometimes with Naomi.

I had the help of amazing friends like My and Dean, and Mey to help me set up on the day of. And a wonderful husband to run around to pick up food and drinks and cake, not to mention carry all the supplies and everything else from the parked car to the tables. Its great to have a strong man!

Mey got me her amazing balloon an face painting guys and we got a great deal for them. $170 for the both of them for 2 hours. They did such amazing things with balloons, and Naomi sat through her face paint. I was a proud mama!

I invited quite a few people, and in the end the people who showed up were the ones that really mattered to me (excluding  family members who do not live in state).

Naomi got so much toys that its overtaking our living room. She plays with each thing for a few minutes before she’s done with it. She has take a liking to books. You have no idea how many times I’ve had to repeat Brown Bear or Hands Hands Fingers Thumb….

She started to say “mama” a couple weeks before turning 1. It’s super cute to hear. She no longer says “daddy or bird” and she doesn’t growl as often as she used to. Although, if you ask her, “what does a lion say?” She will reply with a growl…when she wants.

She’s still my happy baby bear. So uber cute!
